The Details

Our preschool program prepares your 3 to 5-year-old for their upcoming elementary school education. At this age, kids are excited about learning, and ready to explore new challenges. We provide them with a safe, supportive, and structured place to learn and grow. We make learning fun with a no pressure, learn as you play curriculum.

To ensure personalized pre-k learning and development, Lincoln Square Nursery and Preschool maintains a low student to teacher ratio of 1 teacher per 3 preschoolers. Our kindergarten readiness curriculum is designed to be a fun place to learn the core learning concepts below.

Supportive Learning Environment

LSNP provides a safe and supporting learning environment, and a home away from home designed to develop your preschooler’s emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. To build confidence and self-esteem, we personalize each activity so it meets the needs of both the group and each individual student.

Creative Learning

Our early education center has an indoor art, crafts, and music area dedicated to creative learning. Creative learning allows an outlet for imagination and self-expression, and can be used to make structured learning easier to comprehend—plus more fun! We provide a growing selection of games and activities designed to develop artistic ability, musical ability, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, problem-solving skills, critical thinking, cause and effect, and much more!

Scheduled and Structured Learning

Preschoolers are ready to explore new challenges and a daily schedule with structured learning built-in to each day. In-between structured learning, we allow our preschoolers to assert their independence by encouraging an increased sense of responsibility during their self-selected activity time.

Daily Communication

We provide daily communication of achievements, changes in behavior, and general day-to-day activities. This ensures that you are informed of your child’s growth and development, and that we are all working towards a shared vision for your preschooler’s early education.

Expanded Curriculum

Students of LSNP, who advance to our preschool program, are ready to explore a diverse curriculum. They will build upon their current language, communication, literacy and creative skills—and develop new skills such as handwriting, mathematics, science, social studies and nature.

Social Acceptance

This is the perfect age to introduce children to the concept of social acceptance. We allow children to recognize and discuss the similarities and differences in themselves, their families, their fellow LSNP schoolmates, and the wider Chicagoland community. We explain the basic principles of different cultures and countries, and the importance of celebrating the beauty in each of them.
